Will artificial intelligence replace artists?

AI already writes texts today, composes music, generates images. More and more often, the question comes up — can AI replace painters and visual creators?

As an artist, I believe it can't.

Even if a machine learns to handle a brush, create harmonious compositions, and imitate well-known styles, it still won't "see" the world the way a human does. A painting isn't just a set of colours and lines. It's a record of experiences, emotions, memories, and personal sensitivity. It's something born somewhere deep, from life — not from an algorithm.

Each of us creates through the lens of our experiences. What moved me as a child influences my art today. Does AI have a childhood? Does it have fears, hopes, a favourite smell?

Maybe in the future robots will be able to create something "beautiful" — but will it be ART? Art isn't a product. Art is a conversation — between the creator and the viewer, between the inner world and the outer one. And that conversation is led by the heart, not a processor.

🖌 That's why I believe artists can't be replaced. They can be inspired. You can collaborate with them. But you can't "generate" them.
